Viva Las Vegas: Day 2

Sunday morning we woke up bright and early! Joe and Sarah had to attend a convention for part of Sunday for their work so we ate breakfast with them and we went our separate ways for a little bit of the day. I had an agenda for Sunday....there were a few things that I wanted to see before we had to leave. The "Welcome to Vegas" sign, M&M world, a few of the big casinos and the pawn shop in the TLC show "Pawn Stars" were a few of the things on the agenda.We headed off walking down the strip--it was so nice walking along in the cool morning breeze with all the Vegas sights. Very little traffic and hardly any people walking on the strip made for a relaxing morning. We couldn't have picked a better time to go exploring. As you can see, our day was packed FULL of adventure! We walked close to 5 miles on Sunday because the "Welcome to Vegas" sign that I just had to see was about 1 mile passed the Mandalay Bay, which happened to be on the complete opposite end of the strip from our hotel. Our day was a success! We saw all the big things that we wanted to see and do all the big things we wanted to do , including winning $30 (Vegas didn't conquer the Conways) and a picture with the owner from "Pawn Stars". I was so excited! The picture isn't the greatest but that's ok...it's RICK HARRISON, THE OWNER OF THE PAWN SHOP! I think I might have even squealed when he agreed to take a picture with me!
After we saw everything on our agenda, we met up with Joe and Sarah for lunch. We had a quick bite to eat and then headed home. The drive home had quite a bit of traffic by the California boarder and the check point but once we got through that, we were smooth sailing. We finally arrived in Bakersfield at 9pm, exhausted and ready for bed!
Our weekend was great! We couldn't have had a better time...seeing our friends was so refreshing, the weather was perfect and we got to explore the city together. I LOVED walking the strip hand-in-hand with my hubby! I'm pretty sure he LOVED his surprise :)
