Last Full Day In Bakersfield
Thursday was the day that we had been counting down to for weeks, our last full day in Bakersfield. I got into work and had such a bittersweet feeling when I opened the building for the last time. After the students and tutors started coming in, I was surprised to find out that everyone had planned a going away party for me. It was a nice way to end my first "big girl job". I'm sure going to miss everyone!!

I left work early so I could get home and do the last bit of packing before our Friday departure. Dust was everywhere so I found one of Jason's masks in all of his hospital stuff and used it to finish up. Haha...who knew that so much dust could accumulate in just a year and a half?!
Thursday evening we got everything tore down and boxed up--it was so much work. We were driving out of California on Friday and we knew that we needed to get as much done as we possibly could. Once we felt we were at a stopping point, we headed to headed to dinner with Chip, Sue and Tim. We are sure going to miss our California family!
The picture above is how our apartment looked at the end of Thursday night. We had created a disaster zone!!

Oh please..that's not a disaster! ;)Oh and love the mask! :)
I'm sad that we never got to meet up! Next time you stop by California, let me know and I'll try to meet up with you then. I was going to head down to my sisters soon, but just missed you.
Good luck to you and Jason on whatever the future holds for you!
