We stayed out of the house until 10:50am and then walked straight to the computer room, turned on the computer and waited...waited...waited. Little did we know but my mom's computer is barely operating. It literally takes FOREVER to get the computer up and running. Jason grew more and more impatient with each passing moment and had a little 'freak out' moment. I immediately texted my sister and asked where the door key was hidden... we had to make a fast trip across town to her house to check his match status.
Our cellphones were lit up with texts from friends telling us they had matched on the drive to my sister's, which made the drive that much more tense.
We finally reached the computer, logged on and saw this.....
As soon as Jason saw the words, "Congratulations, you have matched!" he had a freak out moment. He was hooting and hollering so loud, jumping all around like a mad man and double triple checking to make sure that he was logged in correctly and that the congratulations was on his page and he was not logged onto someone else's page by mistake.
I was so filled with emotion that I just started crying and hugging my hubby's neck. Jason has worked so hard for this moment and it feels like a million pounds lifted off our shoulders. Jason will be able to fulfill his dream of becoming an anesthesiologist.
**On the drive back home, I got a call from Alissa and she informed us that we didn't have to log into the NRMP website because she was sent a confirmation email. Jason pulled out his iPhone and what do you know....a confirmation email. All that crazy drama for nothing!
