Adventures In England--Day 31 & 32

Monday, April 18, 2011
I'm still not feeling the greatest so today wasn't too exciting. I ran to the student center, threw in some laundry and then came back to the apartment to lay down. Jason, on the other hand, had a LONG Monday--he went in at 8:30am, came home for lunch for 30 minutes and then he was on call until 9:00pm. He walked in the door a little after 9:00 and he was exhausted. His last patient of the day, Baby Thomas, was a 18 day old little guy and he decided to pee all over Jason when Jason was trying to get his weight. He was a little shocked and disgusted, I think, that he had pee all over his shoes and pants. Haha! He has a pediatrics exam and his final evaluation tomorrow. He's a little nervous about the exam but as soon as his evaluation gets filled out, then he's pretty much done with his rotations. Easter and the Royal Wedding means that he only works 4 more days in the next 2 weeks...pretty awesome! Ange and Ana, my sister and my niece, will be getting into England this week. I'm hoping that we can meet up with them for a little bit before they head off to Wales and Scotland.

Today was beautiful! The sun shone with some intense heat...not a cloud in the sky and not an air conditioner to be found in Epsom. We spent the morning studying for his exam. Yes, we. I quizzed him over the different developmental stages. Jason's exam went great and he got an Honor on his evaluation. Couldn't have asked for a better outcome...he's so glad to be one step closer to being done. We decided to spend the afternoon celebrating in the park and enjoying dinner at our favorite pub.
