Adventures In England--Day 33 & 34

We decided to head to Richmond Park to give it another try. Richmond Park is a Royal Park Today was actually was 75 degrees and not a cloud in the sky. It was completely opposite than last week when we tried to explore the park. We headed out pretty early because we had to stop by Kingston Hospital and drop off Jason's evaluation with the AUC office. The park has so many different entrances and walking paths that we were pretty excited to go exploring. The park is known for having a lot of wildlife on the grounds so Jason was in heaven. He was searching high and low for some sort of deer, stag or pheasant.
There were some really pretty ponds and grassy areas throughout the park! We even found a perfect spot for a picnic lunch, something we haven't done in a really long time. We started our walk pretty adventurous...we wanted to see the WHOLE park, EVERY pond and all the areas where the map said the deer loved to hang out. Well, about 1/2 way through the way and 4 miles later, we were starting to wonder why we wanted to see it ALL. Aren't all parks the grass, trees, a body of water and the occassional duck or bird flying overhead?
We started walking towards the direction of the park exit and guess what we saw??
That's right...we saw a group of deer feeding under some trees. They must be really used to seeing people because they weren't even spooked by us. We were able to get really close to get some pictures. We had such a good day exploring Richmond Park. Not only did we walk about 8 miles through the park but we got a pretty good tan!

Today Jason went in to work for possibly his last full day...pretty exciting. My sister and Ana are coming in tomorrow and we are thinking of taking a trip to Scotland with them this weekend so I spent most of the day doing laundry, looking up rail times and finding places we would like to visit. Our internet card for the apartment was suppose to expire yesterday but it was working this morning when I woke up so I'm crossing my fingers that it gets me a few more days of internet. After going back yesterday and reading the past year with Jason, we realized how special the blog is to our family. We don't always realize how far we've come or the amazing things we've been able to do and looking back showed us! Today was pretty relaxed...we know that this weekend is going to be jammed packed so we didn't do much.

How fun, its almost like your at a zoo. The parks there seem so beautiful.

I hope you have a good week with your mom and sis. Enjoy your trip to Scotland if you do end up going.
