I love my husband. I think I do a pretty decent job, without tooting my own horn, of making sure that he knows how much I care about him, support him and love him. He has put in so much hard work and dedication through the last four years...I didn't even know he had that dedication in him. I love being his wife, his best friend and a support system for him. Medical school had quite a few days, weeks and months where a support system was key to make it to the next stage. With that being said, I'm more than a doctor's wife. Don't get me wrong...I love being able to introduce Jason as my husband, I love that we've been together for 9 years and married for 3 years, I love the fact that after four years I can finally say he's a doctor and I love that my husband has found something that he absolutely loves to do and he has a passion about. Yes, I guess since he's a doctor and I'm married to him, that technically makes me a doctor's wife but I don't really like that title to label who I am. I went to school, undergrad and grad school, and I am proud of that. I enjoy working and contributing to the family...makes me feel like I am helping out!
I love being Jason's wife but that's all I am. I'm a wife to a great guy that worked hard to be in a profession that he loves....not just a title or a label.
I hope this post doesn't make me sound ungrateful or like a brat but it's something that has been weighing on me and I had to get it off my chest.

I totally understand where you are coming from! So many other people can be judgmental when they learn what your husband does... it's unfortunate but it does happen. Assuming that you don't work and that all you do is sit around and eat bon-bons all day haha ;) I take great pride in my college education and the fact that I work. I love supporting my hubby throughout his training and I love that he supports me throughout my work ventures as well. We are totally more than just doctor housewives... hey... that could be a show ;) haha!
You don't sound ungrateful at all-you sound balanced and supportive!
