Sleep? Well since this was my first week back to work, the naps are marked out of the equation all together. I still manage to get to bed pretty early and get in a full 8 hours of sleep each night.
Food Cravings? It's hard to tell these days. I've found that it helps me not get sick if I eat about every 2 hours. Salty food is definitely the only thing my taste buds recognize as yummy!
Gender? Still too early to tell
Best moment this week? Texting/calling each of the grandparents to let them know the baby is a new fruit/veggie size. Talking to my mom and hearing all the adorable things that she is getting the baby.
Development? The baby is about 1 1/2 inches long and is growing like a weed with each passing week. Bones and cartilage are forming, as well as small indentations on the legs for knees and ankles. The organs formed and are starting to work...the stomach is producing digestive juices, the kidneys are producing urine and (if it's a boy, his testes are producing testosterone). Soft nails on the fingers and the toes are also beginning to form.
Milestones? The baby has working elbows and is beginning to move around and become more active.
Noteables? This week was my first full week of work while pregnant and it was MUCH more difficult on my physically than I thought it would be. I already have an established and growing snack drawer...must keep food within an arms reach at all times at this point in my pregnancy. I also feel like I have a small pooch that is starting to poke out. I'm definitely in that questionable "is she pregnant or just chunky?" stage but I'm expanding!
