Dear Amelia Jean

Amelia Jean,
I've been wanting to write a letter to you for some time now but I didn't (and still don't) really know where to begin.

We've now had you in our lives for 18 months and life has been such a journey, an incredible journey. We've had our mountain peaks and we've had our valleys but the journey has been such an amazing one with you in our lives.

In a few short weeks, days or possibly even hours your role and title as the only child will fade and you will take on a new role with a pretty awesome title, big sister.

In the past couple of months, you have blossomed. You're learning so much, engaging in conversations with us and showing us your amazing personality. It's so much fun to watch your mannerisms and decide if you were given a particular expression or action from your Mommy or your Daddy. Mommy says that the sweet things you do come from her...HA!

You light up when we even walk towards Barrett's (aka baby) room and you can hardly contain your excitement when we are organizing clothes or going through his things. You seem so excited and so ready to have a new baby in the family and that gives Mommy and Daddy so much encouragement during these last few moments being pregnant.

Part of us isn't ready to start this new chapter of our lives, not because we aren't excited for your little brother, but because we aren't ready to have to take away time from you. You're our baby, our first little Conway, and you'll always be our baby but there is something about having another baby that makes us feel like you'll lose that baby title. Don't worry...that title isn't going anywhere. Amelia Jean, you'll always be our baby! Our baby forever you will be!

There is a part of us though that is ready for this next chapter because of you and your sweet, nurturing personality that you show towards your baby. You put so much love into the daily diaper changes, bottle feedings and snuggle sessions that we know without a doubt that you are going to be the best big sister that Hershey, PA has ever seen!

We are so excited to start this next chapter of our journey with you, Amelia, and we know that it will be the perfect chapter to the chapter that is about to end.

We love you to the moon and back
XO
Mommy and Daddy
