Thoughts In My Brain

  • We woke up this morning to SNOW! Yep, we had to actually shovel the sidewalks before work. One day it's 70 degrees and the next it is snowing...crazy!
  • We are going through a major budget reevaluation right now and it's so stressful! We know we have a move in the next 14 months and then another move, potentially, a year later so we need to cut back quite a bit so we can ensure that we have enough money to get us through our journey.
  • The house has been so much fun lately! The kids are getting so big and our interactions throughout the day have been so enjoyable, well most of them have been enjoyable.
  • Amelia is obsessed with her babies and making sure that they have multiple diaper changes while using multiple wipes and that they are all fed puffies and baby food during meal times.
  • Multiple friends have called within the last month to share their baby news with us! I'm so excited for them and I can't wait to meet their little ones later in the year.
  • Speaking of babies--I'm starting to get rid of some things. Maternity clothes, small bottles, and the things that Barrett is no longer using. It's bittersweet but I know that I can't move them so I need to get rid of them.
  • We've been trying to eat more healthy and last night we tried a new recipe with spaghetti squash, garlic, chicken and veggies. It was pretty good. I think that we will be on the look out for future spaghetti squash recipes.
  • Our washing machine broke this weekend and after calling Sears to get prices on parts and on a technician to come to our house, we decided that we would try to fix it ourselves. Thank goodness to YouTube and a washing machine savy man because we were able to get the new part successfully installed.
  • Barrett is now sitting in the bathtub--he has been promoted to the bath, big-boy style. He loves having so much space to play and splash. That boy loves his bath time.
  • I have almost a little less than 3 months until I turn 30!  Yikes...I didn't think that I would ever approach that number.
  • Our car was at the dealership a couple of weeks ago for a routine oil change when they found that we had a seal leak in our engine. I drove around a rental car for a week while they fixed the problem but now that it's "fixed", we're hearing a odd sound right when we start the car. Needless to say, the car has been taken back repeatedly so they can try to hear it. It never seems to make the noise when they do it though...ugh!
  • Counting down the days until summer, match day, vacation and warm weather.
