Our medical journey has always been referenced, in my head, as a book. Each step is a new chapter and one more page closer to finding out what happens at the end. Have you ever read the epilogue before finishing the couple of chapters? Just to find out what happens because the suspense is killing you? No? Please tell me I'm not the only one who does that sometimes?!
Anyway, we are in our final chapter in Ohio while Jason finishes a fellowship but I would like to share with you our epilogue.
Do you remember back in May when we flew to Missouri and interviewed with a hospital in the city where we met? Well, the interview went great. He loved the group of doctors, the CEO of the hospital and he really thinks that he would enjoy the schedule that would come with the position.
A contract was offered to him during our final dinner and we had three weeks to pray, talk and to make a decision. We thought when a contract would finally present itself that it would be so easy to make a decision but it wasn't quite what we thought. We LOVED our Hershey experience and we always thought that we would stay to raise up our family.
Needless to say, some doors opened and other doors closed and God made the answer incredibly clear. It's amazing to look back and to see how obvious the decision was..HA!
We signed the contract, mailed it back and when we got the congratulatory response from the Missouri group, we breathed a sigh of relief. So, after this year we will be moving to Missouri to start life outside of training and to experience life "where it all begin" thirteen years ago for the Conways!
We're very excited to have this journey almost complete, grateful to have the 'epilogue' already read and to know what the future holds but we also know that there will be some challenges.
So proud of Jason and his hard work and dedication to medicine--he truly loves what he does and that's so refreshing to watch.
So, there you have it. The Conway family will be moving to Missouri next June and he will be starting July 1st. Counting down the days....354 days!
