Three-Day Weekend Fun

We were so excited to have a three-day weekend! Jason was off on the weekend but on call on Monday so we tried to enjoy the weekend with him and then we relaxed at the pool on Monday.
Friday night we went back to our favorite hangout to enjoy some live music and dancing. Amelia wore her dancing shoes and a dress so she could twirl. She loves this part of our week!
Both of the kids developed some sort of allergy related cold that took a turn for the worse over the weekend. Both kids were given breathing treatments and cough syrup as part of their daily routine for a few days.
Saturday we spent the evening at Geneva on the Lake. Lake Erie is beautiful but this cove has developed the area to make it fun for any age. We got there are 7pm, just in time to watch the sunset!
They had a ferris wheel that the kids were drawn too. It overlooked the lake--such a beautiful sight!
We ate dinner at a place called "The Firehouse" and it was perfect. The tables were outside, there was live music and the kids could run around while we waited for our food. Amelia entertained herself by stacking the salt and pepper shakers.
We left the lake around 10pm, with everyone still awake and in a decent mood! I was surprised that we allowed ourselves to stay out so late but we were having such a good time, we didn't want to leave.
Sunday the kids took a turn for the worse, regarding their colds, so we spent the day in our pajamas and staying on top of our medicine. We all needed a good day of rest and it was perfect.
Monday we enjoyed the last day of the pool. Amelia and Barrett love playing in the pool so we spent our day at the pool. We were sad when it came closing time.
We enjoyed our time together. The summer chapter has closed and we are preparing for the next season.
