Christmas Break Fun

We had a packed two weeks--the kids didn't have school so we had a lot of fun stuff.
Indoor soccer was on the schedule a few times during the break.
Our cousins, Sam and Chloe, came to spend a few days with us so they got to go to Amelia's soccer game and she was pumped!
Cooper got neutered and de-clawed. Yep...he's an indoor cat now.  We love our Cooper Kitty!
We went and jumped at the mall. The kids loved it! We jumped, grabbed a cookie and then walked the mall for a bit.
We celebrated Christmas at my dad's house. We had a game exchange, instead of presents, and the top game was Googly Eyes. They loved playing it!
We ate a LOT of yummy food! Who doesn't love

We went to the movies and saw Moana...such a fun movie!
Gymnastics was also on our schedule. Both kids are in class and they both had a great session.

Merry Christmas

Christmas morning came bright and early in our house. The kids saw that Santa came when they walked through the house around 4am and they couldn't go back to sleep--they were too excited!
I loved watching their excitement. So stinkin' cute!
We stayed in our pajamas until about 2pm and then we headed to my sister's house for Christmas lunch. We started (and finished) a 500 piece puzzle. We had so much fun, as crazy as it sounds.
The day after Christmas, we got together with Jason's side. Meme is 93 years old and we loved being close to celebrate with her this year.
Our Christmas was so nice. We weren't rushed, we were relaxed and we were surrounded by our family and friends. We missed our out-of-state family but it sure was good to wake up in Missouri this year.

Recap

Here is a bit of a recap. It's been busy--between the stomach flu and Christmas activities--we've been crazy.
Thursday evening, my nephew, Brock, had his Christmas play. He had a few speaking parts and even got to play a few songs on the piano while people were finding their seats. I love being home so we can go to things like this.
Sprinkles, our elf, has been full of fun and adventure this past week. The kids love waking up to find him!
We had a birthday party to go to on Saturday. Brody turned THREE and we loved helping him celebrate. He looked so cute in his birthday crown.
We left Brody's birthday and headed to the farm. We were having homemade pizza for dinner and the kids wanted to help work the cows before we ate. How sweet are they with Jason?!
We left the farm and that night the stomach bug hit us...HARD. Thank goodness Jason didn't get it but the kids and myself were up most of the night. Hopefully we are on the upswing and we are getting better. There is nothing worse than having multiple people puking at the same time. Nothing!

Amelia's Christmas Program

Last week, Amelia had her Pre-K Christmas program. She dressed in her Christmas best--she even wanted her hair curled and some makeup. Where did my baby go?!
Her class did such an awesome job on their songs! I couldn't help but tear up when she was singing...hearing her sing about Jesus and being so genuine and loving was more than I could handle. I'm so thankful for her school and for their dedication to teaching our little ones!!

Barrett's Christmas Program

Last night, Barrett had his Christmas play. It was the first program that he has had with his school, actually his first program ever.
He was so scared and nervous. When I dropped him off with his class to "practice" he had a crying fit but I was so proud to see him walk down the aisle with dry eyes.
He was nervous but he didn't cry.
His class sang "Jingle Bells" and "B.I.N.G.O". Most of the time his fingers were in his mouth (something he does when he's nervous) but a few times he jingled his bells and sang the words to the songs.
I was beaming. I am so stinkin' proud of this boy!!

Soccer, Sprinkles, Santa & So Much More!

Hey there!
Things have been so busy, so fun but SO busy!
Amelia started indoor soccer last week. The teams are boys and girls and they play at the college's volleyball court. There are no timeouts, no out-of-bounds and no subs. They play the whole team.
It's not really "soccer"...more like conditioning while kicking a ball but she loves it.
She's on her friend, Charli's, team so she's in heaven!
Sprinkles is our elf. He came to visit the 1st of December and he's the highlight of our day. He gets himself into some pretty silly places.
It's been pretty cold here and the other day I found Bazzle like this....
I feel ya buddy!
Cooper had his first vet appointment. He got his vaccines and had a checkup--he has ear mites. We were sent home with medication (twice a day for 20 days...eeek)
Barrett looks a mess but I love how Cooper is just sitting there while Barrett is holding (dropping) him. We love our kitty!
My mom brought these boxes over the other day and the kids had so much fun playing Santa's train. I love how Amelia is in her romper and Barrett is in a Santa hat and he's using the dog's stockings as gloves. HA!
We had a craft/cookie day at our house last weekend. It was  ladies and kids from my mom's side--all her sisters, her mom and a few cousins came and we had such a great day. I hope we can keep this tradition alive next year. It's great to see people that we normally don't see!
We had our first Christmas this week--the Davault Christmas. We had a fun day of cooking, wrapping, music and then presents. Such a fun day...I'm so thankful for this family!

Surprise 70th Birthday

A few weeks ago Donna reached out to all the kids and wanted to throw Dad a surprise birthday party. Trying to coordinate a party around so many different schedules wasn't easy but we found a date, December 3rd, that would work for everyone (except Jason).
Donna was in charge of inviting people and then getting Dad there on time, the kids were in charge of everything else....decorations, food, pictures and sweet memories from each of the attendees.

Dad thought they were going to an anniversary dinner but ended up blindfolded and surprised.
Here are a few pictures from the party:
Dad has had a lot of medical problems over the last few years and we are thankful that we got to celebrate another year with him.
Happy Birthday, Dad!
