Happy November 9th!!
I seriously can't believe that we are almost half way through the month...time passes so quickly!
Here are some things that we've been up to this week...
The weather was showing to get cold so we headed to the park, the day before the cold front, to enjoy the park in some shorts. I told Amelia that the shorts will be packed away--shorts in November just seem wrong.
Ana's cross country team was invited to the board meeting this week so they could celebrate them winning state. The team got to sign the back of the thankful that I was able to go! So stinkin' proud of her!
When Jason is on call, the kids sleep with me. This was them...they both claimed their spot and left a little bit in the middle for me. Thank goodness it was election night--I spent most of the night on the couch watching the live coverage.
We are participating in Operation Christmas Child this year. The idea is to fill up a shoebox (we used a tupperware box) with girl or boy things. We threw in a mixture of things--toothpaste, toothbrush, bandaids, toys, coloring books, etc.
The kids LOVED picking out special things for a child in need and then adding it to their box. We will be able to track the box and see what country it ends up in--I love using these small moments to teach them how much they have and how fun it is to give to others that have less that we do.
One evening we went to the walking trail and we found an albino baby deer. It is hard to see the whole thing but he wasn't scared of us so I was able to get pretty close to get a picture.
