Family Reunion

My mom's side of the family tries to have a large family reunion every three years. The last one was SEVEN years ago, so this one was way over due.
We had about 60 people and family came from California, Texas, Colorado, Oklahoma, Missouri and probably a few more states that I'm missing.
It was good to reconnect and catch up on all the new updates from everyone.
We had the reunion at a campground. We booked a river float and then everyone camped out in cabins, campers and some even drove back to the town to stay in a hotel.
We got to the campsite on Friday afternoon. I had to work and Jason had to load everything in his truck. We got there and it twas so good to see all of these sweet cousins!!
Barrett loves Uncle Chris (and roasting marshmallows)
We brought the kitty with us because we didn't know if it would be okay while we were gone. Someone watched our pups but we needed to bring our sweet baby with us and NO ONE objected. HA!
Barrett laid down with him at bedtime and both were so content!
Saturday we spent the day on the river. We floated 6 miles and it took us about 5 hours. I didn't get any pictures because I didn't want to lose my phone (so I took some I found on Facebook) but the kids loved it. No tears--only smiles and giggles from our crew.
We got back to the campsite at dinner and we got everyone together for a big potluck. Here are a few pictures from that evening.
The last morning, Sunday, we said our goodbyes and played with the triplets. My cousin, Nikki, has one year old triplets and Barrett was obsessed with the little girl, Maggie.
Shannon was holding Sawyer and Hank--aren't they so sweet?!
We said our goodbyes, loaded up the truck and then went to the creek to play for a little bit (one last time).
We seriously had the best time! We had no cell phone coverage, which meant we were more present, we ate too much and we were able to reconnect with everyone.
It was such a great weekend, especially for our little family. We love our time in the country!
